Brand & style guide
Everything that makes Sushi Cinema look and feel like Sushi Cinema: an ink-and-paper world with a smiling sushi samurai at its heart.
The mascot & logo

- A smiling salmon nigiri samurai — craft served fresh, with a smile.
- Always give him room to breathe: clear space of at least half his height on every side.
- He works on paper, ink and vermilion backgrounds. Never stretch, recolor or remove his smile.
Colors
Ink & paper: a Japanese poster palette of cream, sumi black and vermilion red.
Paper
--paper
Warm cream. The canvas everything sits on.
Sumi ink
--ink
Near-black with a warm cast. Text, borders, brush strokes.
Vermilion
--vermilion
Shrine-gate red. Buttons, seals, the Founder hanko.
Rice
--card
A lighter paper for cards and frames.
Typography
Shippori Mincho
Headings. A Japanese serif with brush-like contrast — used for titles, section names and the wordmark. Always bold or extrabold.
Zen Kaku Gothic
Body text. A clean, friendly Japanese gothic for paragraphs, buttons and menus. Never serif for body copy.
Voice & motifs
- Warm, playful and a little poetic — a theater program, not a tech manual.
- Frames and buttons use thick ink borders ("ink frames"), like a woodblock print.
- Special roles and seals appear as a vermilion hanko stamp.
- Films are "drawn", "served" or "premiered" — never "generated content".
